MSSQL Server 8.0 is a Relational Database Management System RDMS from Microsoft. RDBMS systems differ from dBase based systems (like Microsoft Access) in that they have more security, scalability, and data integrity. Instead of using simple files, they exist on a server that is optimized for serving database requests.
RDBMS's do not just store data, they actually care for the integrity of the data at the database level. Other methods require database consistency to be managed by the code that the developer writes. Additionally, since processing is done by the database server and not the web server, it is generally much faster.

Windows Elite customers will receive 200MB of storage on the optimized MS SQL database server.
